Technical Support - Using Google Chrome

Most users have trouble using Adobe Reader in Google Chrome. Using Internet Exporer is the preferred web browser.

To use, you must setup Google Chrome to use Adobe Acrobat or Reader to display PDF file. Google Chrome has recently added an internal PDF viewer to the browser. This viewer bypasses the Adobe Acrobat Reader that was traditionally used to view PDF files from the Internet. Unfortunately, this viewer does not work with The following items are steps you might need to follow to setup your Google Chrome to work with

  1. Open up Google Chrome, enter chrome://plugins in the address bar
  2. Make sure Chome PDF Viewer is Disabled

  3. Make sure Adobe Reader (or Acrobat) is Enabled
  4. If you do not see Adobe Reader listed, and you have Adobe Reader installed on your machine, this is a bug in Google Chrome which is currently not fixed. Use another web browser for this site, preferably Intenet Explorer.

  1. Open Adobe Acrobat or Reader
  2. Once in Adobe Reader, click the Edit menu in the menu bar, and then click Preferences.... The Preferences window will open
  3. In the Categories section, click on Internet
  4. Make sure the first check box, Display PDF in browser, is checked
  5. Click OK to dismiss the Preferences window, and then close Adobe Reader
